The 2025 Qatar Economic Forum, powered by Bloomberg and organized in collaboration with Media City Qatar, convened from May 20 to 22 at the Fairmont Hotel in Doha. Marking its fifth edition, the forum brought together over 1,500 global leaders, including heads of state, CEOs, investors, and policymakers, to deliberate on pressing economic and geopolitical issues.

Major Announcements and Highlights
Qatar Investment in the U.S.: The Qatar Investment Authority announced plans to invest an additional $500 billion in the United States over the next decade, focusing on sectors such as artificial intelligence, healthcare, and data centers.
Boeing Aircraft Order: Qatar Airways placed a historic order with Boeing for up to 210 wide body aircraft, including 130 787 Dreamliners and 30 777-9s, marking the largest wide body order in Boeing's history.
Gift of Boeing 747-8 Jet: Qatar offered a $400 million Boeing 747-8 jet to the United States, intended for use as Air Force One. The gesture sparked discussions regarding its implications and was addressed by Qatar's Prime Minister during the forum.
