UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2025
Description

The UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2025 will take place from July 1 to 8 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. Organized as part of the 47th session of the World Heritage Committee and supported by the Republic of Bulgaria, the forum centers on the theme: "World Heritage in an Interconnected World: Leveraging Digital Technologies and Innovative Approaches." This fully funded program aims to enhance the expertise of 25 young professionals in protecting, preserving, and promoting natural and cultural World Heritage.

Participants will explore how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR), digital mapping, drones, and 3D modeling can revolutionize heritage conservation and public engagement. The forum includes thematic discussions, site visits, and workshops, culminating in the presentation of a Youth Declaration to the World Heritage Committee.

Eligible applicants are between 23 and 32 years old, with experience in fields like architecture, archaeology, conservation, or related studies, and proficiency in English or French. All expenses, including travel, accommodation, meals, and visa fees, are covered. The application deadline is April 22, 2025.
