The 9th meeting of the Task Force on the Water-Food-Energy-Ecosystems Nexus will take place on June 18, 2025, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. This meeting, held under the UNECE Water Convention, will follow the Global Workshop on Freshwater Ecosystem Conservation and Restoration in Transboundary Basins (June 16-17, 2025).
The Task Force brings together policymakers, practitioners, and experts to discuss cross-sectoral cooperation in transboundary water management. Key topics include ecosystems and biodiversity, water allocation and flow regulation, and the nexus between water, hydropower, and climate action. The meeting aims to share knowledge, best practices, and tools to enhance cooperation among countries.
This event is expected to strengthen international collaboration and advance sustainable water management in transboundary contexts.
