The Female Perspectives on International Environmental Law webinar will bring together a diverse group of women leaders, including negotiators, judges, academics, and UN officials, to share their experiences navigating and influencing international environmental frameworks. Through open dialogue, participants will examine the challenges women face in this field, discuss leadership journeys, and explore concrete pathways to support gender-responsive environmental governance.

  • A deeper understanding of the barriers and opportunities shaping women’s participation in global environmental governance.

  • Practical strategies for integrating gender perspectives into environmental law, decision-making, and institutional processes.

  • Evidence-based knowledge highlighting how women’s leadership strengthens environmental outcomes and enhances the effectiveness of governance systems.

  • Opportunities to connect and exchange with peers, fostering a supportive network of women committed to advancing environmental rule of law.

  • Increased awareness of the Montevideo Programme V and its role in strengthening legal foundations for environmental protection worldwide.
