Established by the United Nations General Assembly through Resolution A/RES/79/325, the Global Dialogue on AI Governance builds on the vision set out in the Global Digital Compact (A/RES/79/1), adopted at the 2024 Summit of the Future.

The initiative creates an inclusive space within the United Nations where governments, experts, and stakeholders can come together to discuss and shape responses to the world’s most pressing artificial intelligence challenges.

Through dialogue and collaboration, it aims to support the development of a digital future that is open, safe, and accessible to all, while ensuring that AI technologies are governed in ways that reflect shared global priorities and responsibilities.
