Women’s Resistance to War, Injustice and Environmental Crisis
Description
N/A |Sep. 21, 2025

This policy brief explores how women in conflict-affected regions are resisting war, ecological destruction, and systemic injustice. Drawing on case studies from Zimbabwe, Togo, and Colombia, it connects the Women, Peace and Security agenda with environmental governance, showing how climate change and resource extraction disproportionately impact women.

The paper calls for feminist, climate-resilient peacebuilding and offers concrete policy recommendations to strengthen women’s participation, protect environmental defenders, and ensure gender-responsive governance.
