Lebanon Displacement and Humanitarian Update was published in March 2026 by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Lebanon Programme Support Unit. The report presents real-time monitoring of displacement and humanitarian needs following the escalation of conflict in Lebanon since 2 March 2026. It aims to inform rapid, evidence-based humanitarian response and planning.
Key insights:
Over 102,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) are currently in collective sites, with 46,800 individuals crossing into Syria through Masnaa and Al Qaa since 2 March.
480 active collective sites are operating, many at or near full capacity, while displacement spreads beyond formal shelters, increasing pressure on community infrastructure and services.
IOM has scaled up the distribution of core relief items (mattresses, blankets, pillows) to over 27,000 displaced individuals and expanded mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) to approximately 575 people across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Bekaa, and North Lebanon.
Protection and migrant support interventions are ongoing, including emergency cash, case management, shelter access, and coordination with migrant embassies to address documentation and evacuation needs.
IOM is appealing for USD 23 million to sustain life-saving response over the next three months, covering displacement tracking, emergency shelter, WASH, health, protection, MHPSS, and targeted migrant assistance.
