ABU DHABI (Enmaeya News) — The United Arab Emirates and Lebanon have agreed to deepen cooperation across economic, investment, and governance sectors, following a meeting between UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Abu Dhabi.

The talks, held at Al-Shati Palace, centered on expanding bilateral ties. As part of the effort, the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development will send a delegation to Lebanon to assess opportunities for joint projects. Meanwhile, the UAE’s Knowledge Exchange Office will visit Beirut to share best practices in public administration and institutional performance.

The recent reopening of the UAE embassy in Beirut serves as a signal of renewed commitment to Lebanon during its current phase of recovery. The UAE announced that it has lifted the travel ban on its citizens to Lebanon and eased Visa restrictions for Lebanese visitors. There are also plans to establish a joint business council aimed at enhancing economic ties — a move viewed as a positive step forward for both nations.

President Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Lebanon’s stability and sovereignty, describing the relationship as a vital component of regional cooperation. He expressed hope that the visit would pave the way for closer collaboration and advance shared development goals.
