Doha, Qatar (Enmaeya News) City University Qatar (CUQ), in partnership with Ulster University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Social Development Centre, Nama, an entity under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work.

The agreement seeks to enhance cooperation between academic institutions and community organizations, supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 by focusing on youth empowerment and capacity building.

The MoU aims to provide exceptional educational and professional opportunities that promote skill development, innovation, and community engagement. It outlines collaboration in key areas, including developing and delivering specialized training and workshops, sharing academic and professional expertise, and organizing joint events and awareness campaigns.

CUQ President, Faris G. Faris, stated: “We are proud to partner with Nama, as this agreement reflects a genuine model of aligning academic education with community needs. We strongly believe in empowering youth by offering a learning environment that nurtures their potential and supports their ambitions. We are committed to working together to implement initiatives that will benefit both the nation and society.”

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Nasser Al-Naimi, deputy chair of the board of trustees and deputy CEO of Artan Holding, and Ghanem Salah Al-Ali, executive director of Nama. It is set to remain in force for three years, with automatic renewal upon expiration.
