Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya news) The Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education took part in the 2025 Education World Forum held in London under the theme “From Stability to Growth: Building Stronger, Bolder, Better Education Together.”

Lebanon was represented by a delegation headed by Director General of Education Fadi Yarak, which included Julian Jalakh, advisor to the minister for non-formal education and external relations, and Maher Al-Hassanieh, advisor for strategic initiatives.

The Lebanese delegation participated in plenary sessions, specialized workshops, and bilateral meetings that addressed global education priorities. Key topics included education in emergencies, equity and access for vulnerable learners, the integration of digital transformation and AI for inclusive learning, green skills for a sustainable future, and inclusive education through the “hub school” model.

During a dedicated session titled “The Hub School Model for Inclusive Education,” the delegation presented Lebanon’s national vision to enhance inclusive education at both school and national levels, in partnership with international stakeholders.

The delegation also joined a session titled “Strategies, Policies, and Actions for Developing Green Skills,” which focused on incorporating environmental and sustainability skills into education policies and systems. Yarak was one of the session’s main speakers, presenting Lebanon’s vision and stressing the importance of curriculum development and training programs to support the transition toward a green economy and prepare environmentally aware youth for future careers.

Additionally, the Lebanese delegation held bilateral meetings with the British Council to explore cooperation in curriculum development, educational leadership, and continuous training, and with the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) to examine the use of AI tools in assessment, e-learning, and building national systems for measuring learning outcomes.

Throughout the forum, the delegation reaffirmed Lebanon’s commitment to building a fair, modern, and inclusive education system aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, noting that the 2025 Education World Forum served as “an opportunity for Lebanon to reaffirm its role as an active and influential partner in shaping the future of global education.”
