Washington D.C. (Enmaeya News) — In a groundbreaking partnership between entertainment and exploration, Netflix and NASA have announced the launch of NASA+ on the popular streaming platform, giving millions of viewers around the world unprecedented access to space — right from their screens.

Beginning this summerNASA+ will stream a wide range of live space programming on Netflix, including rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission coverage, and real-time views of Earth from the International Space Station.

The partnership marks a new chapter in NASA’s mission to make space exploration more accessible to the public.

“The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience,” said Rebecca Sirmons, General Manager of NASA+ at the agency’s Washington headquarters. “Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration – inspiring new generations – right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand.”

While NASA+ will be featured on Netflix, it will also remain free and ad-free through the NASA app and on the agency’s website. The collaboration allows NASA to tap into Netflix’s massive global reach — over 700 million users — bringing the excitement of space to new and younger audiences.

This move is part of NASA’s broader effort to engage the public through modern media channels, including video, audio, social media, and live events. By partnering with Netflix, the agency aims to further amplify its educational and inspirational content, reaching people wherever they are.

Additional programming details and the official launch date will be announced in the coming weeks.
