Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) —The Lebanese American University Medical Center–Rizk Hospital has launched its Executive Preventive Health Program, a new and important initiative that goes beyond traditional medical checkups. The program combines advanced diagnostic tools with modern preventive care methods to help people improve their health, make better lifestyle choices, and increase their overall well-being.
When launching the program, LAU President Dr. Chaouki Abdallah said, “This program is the result of long-term efforts and marks an important step in our journey. It fits well with the university’s educational mission, but gains more meaning through the presence of a medical center, where education combines with health and humanitarian care.”
He stressed that LAU’s medical centers are dedicated not only to treating illness but also to improving public health through prevention. “Our role is not just to treat disease after it happens, but to prevent it before it appears. This is why this executive preventive program is so important.”
The program focuses on executives and high-profile individuals who want complete and personalized care. It offers privacy, comfort, and convenience, with a personal escort assigned to each client.
The facilities include modern patient rooms, executive suites, operating theaters, intensive care units, and specialized labs.
Hospital CEO Sami Rizk explained that the program’s design focuses on working efficiently, improving the patient experience, supporting academic work, and ensuring long-term success.
Dr. Georges Ghanem, the program’s director, said the program aims to provide a high level of personal service while keeping strict privacy. He said they plan to grow the program but keep its special care approach: “We work with people who are not patients in the usual way and don’t need to stay in the hospital or mix with other patients. What they need most is peace of mind.”
In a recent interview, Dr. Ghanem highlighted the program’s important role in Lebanon today. “In Lebanon, if we keep waiting for the right time, we’ll be waiting forever. This program is ambitious but necessary. Prevention is key to lowering illness and health costs.”
He added that many Lebanese living abroad prefer this program because of the quality care and personal attention found in Lebanon compared to other countries.
When asked about Lebanon’s chance to become a medical center again for Arab and Gulf patients, Ghanem said he is hopeful but stressed that political and security stability are very important.
