Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) — Beirut Port is experiencing one of its busiest periods in recent years, with operations up 35% compared to the same time last year.
Three ships are currently unloading cargo at the port’s docks, while several more remain anchored offshore, awaiting their turn to dock. Officials attribute the surge to rising local demand, increased imports of goods and raw materials, and improvements in the port’s operational efficiency.
Port authorities have implemented measures to speed up unloading, enhance logistics, and maintain the smooth flow of goods into the market. Their goal is to reduce ship waiting times, prevent congestion, and uphold the port’s vital role in Lebanon’s trade and economy.
This growth comes as Lebanon seeks to strengthen its maritime and logistical sectors as part of broader economic recovery efforts.
