Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) — Between January and August 2025, Beirut-Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY) handled 4,802,038 passengers, including arrivals, departures, and transits—an 8.63% increase compared to the same period in 2024, when the total was 4,420,213.

In August 2025, the airport saw 929,815 travelers, almost the same as in August 2023 (915,085), and up 38.9% from August 2024. Of these, 397,517 passengers arrived in Lebanon (up 60.25% year-on-year), while 532,274 departed (up 26.43%).

Flight activity also increased, with 6,634 flights recorded in August 2025—a 24.81% rise compared to August 2024. This included 3,318 inbound flights (up 24.87%) and 3,316 outbound flights (up 24.75%).

Passenger numbers and flight activity have been gradually recovering in recent years, with airlines steadily resuming operations and services at BEY returning to pre-2023 levels.
