Tripoli, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) — More than 200 students took part in an environmental day organized by Anera at Al Madina University as part of the Greener Lebanon initiative.
The event aimed to raise awareness of climate-friendly practices, promote sustainability, and encourage youth to take an active role in caring for the environment.
Students from Al Madina University, University of Jinan, Al Azm School, Rawdat Al Fayhaa School, and Al Rahma Institute for People with Special Needs participated in interactive workshops led by environmental experts and volunteers.
Activities focused on practical skills such as plant care, sustainable gardening, and climate-conscious habits. Organizers also emphasized the importance of volunteering and community engagement.
Through hands-on exercises, students explored ways to organize local initiatives, reduce environmental impact, and contribute to long-term sustainable change. The event provided opportunities for participants to discuss climate challenges affecting Lebanon and share ideas for solutions in their communities.
Organizers said the event was designed not only to educate students but also to inspire them to become active environmental advocates, fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to nature.
Many participants expressed enthusiasm about applying what they learned in schools, neighborhoods, and at home, reflecting a growing interest among Lebanese youth in environmental issues.
