Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) — Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny announced that the tendering process for works at Qulayaat Airport in northern Lebanon will begin at the start of 2026.

Rasamny visited the airport three days ago, accompanied by a delegation from northern economic bodies led by former minister Mohammad Choukair, Tripoli and North Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Imam, Akkar Mufti Sheikh Zaid Bakkar Zakaria, and several municipal leaders.

“Since the beginning of this term, both the President and the Prime Minister have insisted on activating and operating this airport,” he said, adding that each of his visits reinforced his conviction that the airport must serve both the north and Lebanon as a whole.
