Beirut, Lebanon (Enmaeya News) — Today marks an exciting milestone for Horsh Beirut, as the first phase of its revitalization was officially inaugurated under the EU-backed ENABLE programme. The project was carried out in collaboration with the ILO, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Beirut Municipality, and local partners Nahnoo and arcenciel.
Key highlights of the revitalization include:
A 1.7 km cycling trail, inviting the community to ride, connect, and enjoy green space.
An upgraded skatepark, offering a safer and more vibrant spot for youth to gather and skate.
Rehabilitated public bathrooms and sanitary facilities, improving accessibility and comfort for all visitors.
The initiative goes beyond physical renovation—it represents a commitment to inclusion, safety, and environmental consciousness, reinforcing the right of every Lebanese to access public spaces that are welcoming, safe, and sustainable.
