The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) participated in the first edition of the AGRI Lebanon Exhibition, held under the patronage of Minister of Agriculture Dr. Nizar Hani.
The event brought together farmers, agribusinesses, technology providers, and policymakers to showcase innovations, promote sustainable practices, and support economic growth in Lebanon’s agrifood sector.
FAO’s booth highlighted knowledge products, tools, and initiatives on sustainable farming, water efficiency, and agricultural cooperatives. It also featured a commemorative corner for FAO’s 80th anniversary, celebrating its global milestones and contributions in Lebanon since 1977.
FAO Representative in Lebanon, Nora Ourabah Haddad, emphasized the organization’s role in empowering farmers, promoting innovation, supporting youth and women, and strengthening public-private cooperation.
Organizers noted that the exhibition advanced Lebanon’s agricultural development agenda, food security, and climate-smart solutions, reinforcing FAO as a key partner to the Ministry of Agriculture.
