LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - October 8, 2025

George Brax, a spokesperson from the gas station owners’ syndicate told VDL News that fuel prices in Lebanon are decreasing and are expected to continue dropping through the end of October.

Brax said international oil prices have recently gone down, and that is starting to show in local fuel prices.

“There is no need to worry about shortages this winter,” he told local media, adding that supplies are arriving regularly.

His comments come as many Lebanese prepare for the cold season, when diesel demand rises for heating, especially in areas with limited electricity.

Fuel prices in Lebanon are updated twice a week by the Ministry of Energy, based on global oil prices and the exchange rate of the Lebanese lira.

Brax noted that despite tensions in the region, there are no signs so far of disruptions to fuel imports. However, he warned that prices could still change if global markets react to any new developments.

For now, the lower prices offer some relief, but many residents remain cautious. With incomes tight and energy needs high, a stable fuel supply at affordable prices will be essential in the coming months.
