LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - October 22, 2025
Lebanon’s Economy Minister Amer Bisat and Charles Arbid, President of the Economic and Social Council, formally launched the “Beirut One” investment conference, scheduled for November 18–19 in Beirut.
Under the patronage of President Joseph Aoun, the conference aims to engage the private sector, Arab and foreign investors, and expatriate Lebanese in rebuilding economic confidence. Arbid described the event as a “starting point” rather than a one-off.
Bisat told donors and diplomatic representatives that Lebanon’s GDP is projected to grow by 5% in 2025, citing this as a sign of improving fundamentals despite ongoing structural and monetary instability.
He said the conference is intended to showcase investment opportunities and rebuild trust in Lebanon’s economic recovery.
The conference will include specialized platforms and panel discussions, each dedicated to a key sector of Lebanon’s economy.
“It will showcase concrete investment projects, including a capital investment program worth over $7.5 billion, and enable direct B2B meetings between local and international investors,” Bisat explained.
Ahead of the launch, the Economic and Social Council delegation met with Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi, who was briefed on preparations and invited to support diaspora engagement through the Foreign Ministry’s network, according to "L'Orient Today".
The “Beirut One” conference aims to boost investor confidence and support Lebanon’s economic recovery, amid projected GDP growth. Final cabinet approval is still pending.
