Finance Minister Yassine Jaber met with the World Bank’s Resident Representative in Lebanon, Enrique Armas on Thursday, to finalize preparations for the upcoming visit of the Bank’s Executive Directors, scheduled for early November.

Jaber confirmed his ministry’s commitment to advancing financial and administrative reforms and strengthening fiscal stability in the country.
Armas, for his part, reaffirmed the World Bank’s “continued support for the Lebanese government’s priorities and efforts to promote economic stability and development.”
During the same session, Jaber also hosted a joint delegation representing the French Court of Accounts, the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and the OECD’s SIGMA program, along with senior ministry officials.
The dialogue focused on enhancing oversight and cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and Lebanon’s Court of Accounts, modernizing auditing processes, improving public sector transparency, and strengthening institutional capacity.
The minister also held talks with Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar, though details of that meeting were not disclosed.
