BEIRUT (Enmaeya News) - October 24, 2025
The American University of Beirut (AUB) announced it will host an “Inclusive Green Jobs and Skills Fair” on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Sioufi Garden in Beirut, as part of its efforts to promote sustainability and inclusion in the labor market.
Organized by AUB’s ESDU and the NEXT STEP Program, the fair will link job seekers, employers, training centers, and NGOs in green sectors such as agriculture, recycling, eco-tourism, and food systems.
The event aims to highlight accessible job opportunities for people with disabilities and encourage their integration into Lebanon’s emerging green economy.
Activities will include an inspirational talk, a performance by individuals with special needs, and an exhibition showcasing employment and training opportunities.
The initiative is part of the Sustainable Integrated Municipal Actions (SiMA) project, funded by the German government through the KfW Development Bank and implemented by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
It is also supported by the Dawaer Foundation, AUB’s Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs, and the Food Heritage Foundation.
According to organizers, the fair seeks to raise awareness about sustainable jobs, promote training and skill development, and strengthen cooperation between public institutions, academia, and the private sector.
The event underscores AUB’s ongoing commitment to advancing inclusive and environmentally responsible economic growth in Lebanon.
