SAIDA (Enameya News) - October 25, 2025

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam conducted a field visit in Saida, accompanied by Environment Minister Dr. Tamara Zein, to review key health, waste, and water infrastructure in the city.

The tour included the Turkish Governmental Hospital, the fish market, the old port, and the modern Saida port, where development plans were discussed. At the Siniq solid waste treatment facility, officials observed operations, reviewed upgrade plans, and considered public concerns regarding the plant’s performance.

Technical and operational challenges in the city’s waste management system were also discussed with operators and municipal authorities.

The visit concluded at the Saida wastewater treatment plant, where engineers provided explanations of the treatment process and the obstacles affecting operational efficiency. Meetings were held at the Saida Government Palace and the municipal offices to conclude the day.
