Rafik Hariri University celebrated its 25th anniversary on Thursday, coinciding with its late founder's birthday, former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of Nazek Rafik Hariri, Chair of the University’s Board of Trustees and President of the Rafik Hariri Foundation, represented by Farah Tamim Makki, Director of the Foundation.
The event was attended by Minister of Social Affairs Hanine El Sayed, Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Kamal Chahade, MP Mohammad Hajjar, and several academic and political figures.
During the event, Nazek Hariri was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities in recognition of her contributions to higher education and social development.
University President Said Al-Ladki highlighted the institution’s academic progress and its focus on integrating innovation and artificial intelligence into curricula. Minister Chahade praised the university as a “key partner in building a modern Lebanon.”
The celebration concluded with artistic performances by students and the recognition of outstanding graduates.
This reaffirms the university’s commitment to its founder’s vision for education and progress.
