LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - November 3, 2025
Minister of Labor Mohammad Haidar announced a series of national initiatives aimed at combating unemployment, organizing the labor market, and enhancing the connection between Lebanese talents and available opportunities. The announcement came during a panel discussion held as part of the Lebanese Industry Expo, organized by the Association of Lebanese Industrialists (ALI) and moderated by the Lebanese Private Sector Network (LPSN), represented by Mr. Naeem Zein.
Haidar emphasized that “employment is no longer an issue belonging to a single ministry; it has become a national matter that requires genuine coordination between ministries and both the public and private sectors.” In this context, he announced a partnership with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, praising the support and facilitation provided by the Interior Minister, aimed at enabling municipalities to provide the Ministry of Labor with accurate data on local talents and job seekers in their areas.
He explained that “this step is part of building a comprehensive national database, which will form the foundation for any effective policy to organize the labor market".
Haidar also pointed out that “the Ministry is working to launch a national digital platform under its supervision, which will serve as a unified hub for information on professions, skills, and available opportunities. This will allow better coordination among relevant stakeholders and help facilitate the connection between job seekers and employers, without the Ministry acting as a direct employment provider".
He clarified that “this platform will create a qualitative shift in managing the employment file, as it relies on data, analysis, and collaboration between the state and the private sector".
Haidar also praised the initiative of the Lebanese Private Sector Network (LPSN) to launch the “100,000 Job Opportunities in Four Years” project, announced by Mr. Naeem Zein on behalf of the network, considering it a strategic step reflecting the private sector’s commitment to boosting employment.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Labor supports this initiative and considers it complementary to its efforts to enhance cooperation among the various economic stakeholders.
