UAE (Enmaeya News) – November 8, 2025

Brad Smith, Vice Chairman and President of Microsoft, confirmed that the United Arab Emirates leads the world in artificial intelligence adoption, with 59.4% of its population using AI. He emphasized that the UAE serves as a model for developing digital skills globally.

Speaking at the “AI Tour” event in Dubai, Smith highlighted that successful AI adoption depends on a strong infrastructure, including electricity, internet access, and digital skills, noting that the actual number of AI users worldwide remains limited due to these factors.

He added that Microsoft will invest $15.2 billion in the UAE between 2023 and 2029 to strengthen AI infrastructure, including $5 billion for infrastructure development, $1.5 billion for G42, as well as initiatives to support talent employment and expand the partner network.

Smith stressed the importance of integrating technology, talent, and trust to maximize the benefits of AI, praising the UAE’s vision since 2017 to enhance workforce skills and develop local capabilities—a model that the world can learn from.
