A U.S. company called 1X Home Robots has introduced NEO, a humanoid robot designed to help with everyday household chores. The robot can fold laundry, organize shelves, and clean rooms, all activated with a simple click or voice command.

Powered by artificial intelligence, NEO can learn a user’s habits and preferences. It can make helpful suggestions, like planning meals or reminding users of upcoming birthdays. It also connects to WiFi and Bluetooth and includes built-in speakers, allowing it to double as a home entertainment system.

According to Euro News, NEO’s design makes it physically strong; it can lift more than 68 kilograms and carry up to 25 kilograms while working.

The company plans to release it in the United States in 2026, with global expansion expected in 2027. The robot will cost $20,000, or can be rented through a $499 monthly subscription.

The launch of NEO reflects a growing interest in smart home technology and everyday robotics. While many see it as a step toward making home life easier, experts warn that users should stay alert to the risks that come with allowing such advanced technology into private spaces.
