LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - November 13, 2025
In a significant educational initiative announced during the 80th anniversary celebrations of Middle East Airlines (MEA), the airline’s board revealed plans to allocate financial support to 80 public schools across Lebanon.
The announcement was made at a high-profile event attended by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rassamny, who welcomed the guests and paid tribute to MEA’s long-standing role in Lebanon’s transport infrastructure and national resilience.
By targeting 80 public schools for the disbursement, MEA is broadening its reach beyond the aviation sector into community-based social investment.
Each contribution of $10,000 is intended to improve school facilities, resources or infrastructure, offering tangible support at the grassroots level. The total commitment is thus roughly US $800,000 in direct educational aid.
This commitment by MEA marks a noteworthy pivot into social investment, leveraging its platform and anniversary milestone to support Lebanon’s public education infrastructure.
