MIDDLE EAST (Enmaeya News) – November 25, 2025

The Lebanese First Lady, Nehmat Aoun, attended the WISE 12 Summit in Doha, joining global leaders, policymakers, and education experts in discussions on placing human values at the center of future learning systems on November 24 and 25.

The summit, under the theme “Humanity.io: Human Values at the Heart of Education,” brings together international stakeholders to explore how education can adapt to rapid technological change while preserving empathy, justice, and dignity.

The First Lady said on X that Lebanon’s presence “is not a mere detail, but a confirmation of Qatar’s belief in our country’s role, and in the ability of its people, schools, and educational community to participate in the international dialogue on education and citizenship.”

According to Al-Fanar Media, experts at WISE 12 are exploring how international collaboration can strengthen national systems and preserve regional identities in an increasingly digital world, issues of deep relevance to Lebanon.

One of the summit’s featured sessions, themed “Reading in the Age of AI,” directly tackles the transformation of Arabic-language publishing. Panelists are calling for more investment in local AI platforms, arguing that Arabic content must not be left behind in the global education technology revolution.

In her opening remarks, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser emphasized that education is not a commodity or privilege but a right, and that placing human values at its center is “a restoration project … both for science and for humanity.”

As WISE 12 continues over the next two days, its outcomes may help shape how education systems in countries like Lebanon respond to profound technological disruption.
