LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - November 27, 2025
From December 16 to 23, Sacred Hearts School in Kfardebian will attempt a 170-hour nonstop Christmas recital, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest Christmas carol concert.
Sandra Akiki organizes the event under the patronage of His Beatitude Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rai.
The recital will run nonstop, day and night, with no breaks, featuring soloists, choirs, artists, and anyone wishing to sing Christmas hymns. No speeches or readings are allowed; only continuous carols.
The public can attend at any time, and organizers must maintain a minimum audience of 12 people at all times for Guinness World Records to validate the attempt.
Guinness will monitor the recital in real time under strict rules: each song must last at least two minutes, transitions cannot exceed 20 seconds, and performers must follow a tightly coordinated schedule to keep the music going for the full 170 hours.
Confirmed performers include the Sancta Maria Choir, Viva Maria Choir, Fayha National Choir of Lebanon, and many more.
If successful, the attempt would place Lebanon again on the Guinness World Records map.
