LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - December 1, 2025
The Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Ministry of Information, is launching a nationwide campaign to support potato farmers under the slogan “20 Kilograms of Potatoes Can Help.”
The initiative will be formally unveiled during a ceremony at the Ministry of Agriculture in Beirut on Wednesday, December 3.
The launch program will include a brief overview of the current state of potato farming in Lebanon, a speech by Agriculture Minister Dr. Nizar Hani, and the recognition of social media influencers who helped promote the campaign.
Organizers will also release a short marketing film and coordinate a media campaign to raise public awareness.
The initiative comes amid ongoing economic challenges affecting Lebanese farmers, including rising costs for seeds, fertilizers, and fuel, as well as market instability and competition from imported products.
Potato cultivation, particularly in regions like the Beqaa Valley, provides income for thousands of families, making local support crucial.
