BEIRUT (Enmaeya News) - December 2, 2025
In a ceremony at Beirut’s Sursock Museum on Thursday, QOOT, Lebanon’s main agrifood innovation cluster, announced the six winners of its third annual Agrifood Innovation Award (AFIA 2025), spotlighting creative new food and beverage products from Lebanese companies.
Out of 97 products submitted by 67 firms this year, the winners were selected across six categories: In the alcoholic‑beverages category, Distilleries du Levant earned top honours for its cider Tiny Moon. In snacks, Taqa Snacks won with its olive‑tapenade biscuits. The health and wellness prize went to Mediterranean Food Company for its instant Soupreem soup.
For non‑alcoholic beverages, Cortas Canning and Refrigerating was awarded for its lavender water. In the grocery products category, Delta Group won with a ready‑to‑use mjaddara mix. Finally, in frozen products, Caprices du Palais was recognized for its carob‑based dessert.
Each winner receives a $2,500 grant to support research and development of their product, along with a free one‑year membership in QOOT.
Organizers said the award, under the patronage of the ministries of Economy, Agriculture and Industry, aims to reward entrepreneurship and innovation.
The 2025 edition saw robust participation: nearly 50,000 public votes contributed to the selection, and the large turnout reflects growing interest in boosting domestic food production through creativity and innovation.
