LEBANON (Enmaeya News) - December 5, 2025

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has issued Memo No. 79/M/2025, outlining the official school and university holiday schedule for Christmas and New Year.

According to the memo, all public and private universities, schools, vocational institutes, and technical colleges will be closed from the morning of Wednesday, December 24, 2025, until the evening of Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

The directive references several legal texts, including Decree No. 53 (February 8, 2025) on the formation of the government, Decree No. 2089 (October 18, 1971) on school holidays, Decree No. 5215 (September 27, 2005) on official holidays and celebrations, and Decision No. 1460/M/2010 (October 7, 2010) regarding public school schedules.

In her message, Minister Dr. Rima Karami extended her congratulations to all members of the educational community in both public and private institutions. She also wished all Lebanese citizens good health, resilience in facing crises, and a stable and prosperous nation during the festive season.
