Lebanon’s Minister of Telecommunications, Charl Hajj, has issued a decision to release a new postage stamp honoring the legendary Lebanese artist Ziad Rahbani, widely recognized for his contributions to music and theater in Lebanon and across the Arab world.
The stamp features four carefully selected images capturing pivotal moments in Rahbani’s career, from his groundbreaking musical works to his influence in satirical political theater, reflecting his lasting cultural impact beyond conventional artistic boundaries.
The new stamp will officially enter circulation starting November 17, becoming available for purchase as part of an official release that celebrates prominent Lebanese figures.
The Ministry of Telecommunications described the issuance as a symbolic tribute to Rahbani’s exceptional career, highlighting his central role in the Rahbani legacy and his enduring voice as a cultural and critical figure whose presence continues to resonate with audiences.
