BEIRUT (Enmaeya News) - December 11, 2025
Banque du Liban (BDL) announced the launch of a new dedicated communication line for public complaints and information requests, set to become operational on January 2, 2026.
The measure, detailed in an official statement, aims to streamline interactions between citizens and the central bank amid heightened public scrutiny of financial governance.
According to the statement, the public will be able to contact BDL’s Directorate of External Affairs exclusively through a designated email address - [email protected] - or by phone at 01/750000, extension 5050.
The announcement drew attention to the fact that this extension is not currently listed on the central bank’s public “Contact” webpage, marking a new, separate channel for official inquiries and grievances.
BDL said the Directorate of External Affairs will “monitor and review all incoming cases” in coordination with the relevant administrative units and institutions.
The bank emphasized that the new mechanism is intended to enhance transparency and improve the handling of public requests by ensuring they are routed directly to the appropriate departments.
The initiative comes as Lebanon’s financial sector continues to face public pressure for clearer communication and greater accountability amid ongoing economic challenges.
