The Head of Health Emergency Alert and Response at the World Health Organization, Abdel Rahman Mahmoud, stated during a press conference held yesterday in Geneva that “long-term symptoms after COVID-19 remain a serious issue,” according to Russia Today.
He noted that “post-infection symptoms range from mild fatigue to memory problems and brain fog.”
In light of the continued spread of the virus, the World Health Organization has introduced an updated strategic plan to address the threats posed by coronaviruses.
Despite this, the organization maintains a high level of preparedness and conducts daily monitoring of epidemic risks. The WHO continues to closely track the situation.
