The world’s longest Christmas recital concluded in the town of Kfardebian after 170 consecutive hours of uninterrupted Christmas hymns, marking a milestone cultural and spiritual event and positioning Lebanon for a potential Guinness World Record.
Held at the Sacred Hearts Sisters High School, the seven-day recital was organized by initiator and producer Sandra Akiki, with the support of the Kfardebian Municipality.
The event was held under the patronage of Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros Al-Rai and attended by Bishop Boulos Rouhana, MPs Nada Boustani and Dr. Salim El-Sayegh, and Kfardebian Mayor Jean Akiki.
The recital featured the participation of approximately 135 choirs and soloists and 200 musicians, representing diverse Christian rites, languages, and musical traditions.
Organizers described the performance as a unifying artistic tableau reflecting Lebanon’s spiritual richness and cultural diversity.
Running continuously for 170 hours, the equivalent of seven days, the event is now officially nominated for inclusion in the Guinness World Records as the longest Christmas recital ever performed.
