The Lebanese University announced a major academic achievement: Dr. Maha Hattit, professor and researcher at the Faculty of Public Health, has been chosen as a Technical Advisor at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva.

She is one of only twenty experts worldwide to hold this role for the next three years.

Dr. Hattit’s selection reflects her expertise in nutrition, food security, and sustainable food systems.

In her advisory role, she will focus on the environmental sustainability of animal-source foods, an important part of global health and food policy today.

The Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University has also made significant research contributions in these areas.

With over 100 studies and projects completed, the faculty continues to play a leading role in advancing scientific knowledge and shaping health and food policies both nationally and internationally.
