LEBANON - The Ministry of Public Works and Transport confirmed that its field operations are “ongoing despite the storm and heavy rainfall, but prevention remains everyone’s responsibility.”

In a post on X, the ministry noted that “with the intensity of the rainfall, randomly discarded waste accumulating in the streets becomes one of the main causes of blocked drainage channels and increased flood risks”.

It added that “avoiding littering helps reduce damage and protect public safety”.
