LEBANON — Lebanon has launched its national digital training platform, NUMŪ, in Nabatieh, aiming to give young people and local communities new opportunities in digital skills and employment.

The platform was introduced at the Kamel Youssef Jaber Cultural Center in partnership with the center and the digital learning organization DOT Lebanon.

The event was attended by Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence Kamal Shehadeh, Cultural Center Director Jihad Jaber, DOT Lebanon CEO Dunia Bassil, and participants in the training program.

In his remarks, Minister Shehadeh praised the center for its role in supporting education and community initiatives. “This project reflects a national commitment to providing digital and AI skills across Lebanon,” he said.

Minister Shehadeh added that NUMŪ targets students, early-career graduates, public and private sector employees, and community members. The program provides practical skills that improve job prospects and support social inclusion.

The initiative also includes partnerships with global tech companies, including Oracle, offering 50,000 training opportunities, and Microsoft, providing 100,000 opportunities in digital and AI fields.

DOT Lebanon CEO Dunia Bassil stressed the organization’s goal to expand digital training nationwide, from Akkar and Tripoli to Sidon, Tyre, and Mount Lebanon.

“We believe in the talent of Lebanese youth and are committed to building their skills step by step,” she said.
