The minister also took part in “Reshaping International Trade Rules,” which looked at the future of global trade, rising tariffs, and ways to support investment in emerging markets.
Discussions included improving supply chain resilience and ensuring responsible cross-border data flows.
On the sidelines of the forum, Al-Bassat attended a discussion on geostrategic and geo-economic changes in the Middle East and explored opportunities for growth and stability in the region.
He also held a bilateral meeting with Argentine Minister Federico Sturzinger, where they talked about public sector reforms, reducing bureaucracy, and improving the business environment to support economic growth.
Working alongside Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, Minister Al-Bassat joined meetings to discuss priority economic issues and ways to strengthen Lebanon’s international partnerships.
The minister is expected to continue his schedule over the next two days, ensuring Lebanon has an active presence at the forum, which runs until January 23.
