BEIRUT — Lebanon’s first edition of the Yalla Loubnan hackathon, a competition designed to empower non‑coders with artificial intelligence–based solutions, concluded successfully.
The event, which launched in mid‑December, aimed to encourage Lebanese participants who lack formal coding skills to devise digital platforms addressing local challenges.
Organized by entrepreneur Stephane Boghossian, the hackathon aims to expand access to digital innovation by removing technical barriers and focusing on real‑world problems facing Lebanese society.
Participants were encouraged to develop projects that use AI tools to improve services in sectors such as health, education, and supply chain management.
Three winning initiatives were announced by the judging panel. Hakkemni Spaces, the top‑ranked project in the health sector, is a platform designed to enhance communication and information flow between patients and healthcare providers.
Sova Study, which won for its contributions in education, offers AI‑driven support for students navigating academic challenges.
The third winner, Nowlb, focuses on boosting local production by connecting raw material producers with suppliers to strengthen Lebanon’s supply chains and export potential.
The success of Yalla Loubnan is expected to encourage similar initiatives aimed at fostering inclusive technological development in Lebanon.
