Minister of Interior Launches Stricter Measures for Motorcycles
A decisive step to ensure road safety and reduce accidents caused by motorcycle violations.

Lebanon – Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, issued a circular aimed at tightening the enforcement of motorcycle violations, due to “the noticeable increase in traffic accidents caused by motorcycles, resulting in injuries and casualties, their use in certain activities that compromise security, as well as the rising number of traffic law violations.”
The Ministry of Interior announced in a statement via X that “this circular comes as a continuation of previous decisions and circulars, within the framework of safeguarding public safety and citizens’ well-being, reducing traffic and security-related accidents, and facilitating the process of paying fines.”
