LEBANON - Finance Minister Yassin Jaber held a coordination meeting with Enrique Armas, Director of the World Bank’s Beirut office, alongside a team of experts tasked with monitoring ongoing projects.
The session focused in particular on the LEAP project, which is dedicated to reconstruction efforts, while also reviewing key updates on the progress of several other initiatives reaching implementation stages.
During the meeting, Minister Jaber announced that he had been informed of World Bank Board approvals for two major projects: the Lebanon Digital Acceleration (LDAP) project and the Social Security Project.
These approvals, issued by the Board in recent decisions, mark a significant step forward in advancing Lebanon’s digital transformation and social protection infrastructure.
Minister Jaber emphasized that work will continue on the accompanying requirements for these projects, including technical and procedural aspects critical to their implementation.
