LEBANON – Saint Joseph University of Beirut launched “USJ CONNECT” 2026, organized by the Service de l’Insertion Professionnelle (SIP), at AVA Hall in Achrafieh. The event runs until 4:00 PM.

It was attended by Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos, Minister of Energy Joe Saddi, Minister of Justice Adel Nassar, USJ President Father François Boadak, as well as economic and social figures, faculty members, and students.

After touring the booths, Minister Morcos said the event shows that a university is not only an academic institution, but also a gateway to the job market. He noted that 124 booths allow students to interact directly with different sectors.

He stressed the importance of linking education with practical experience across fields such as banking, insurance, trade, and industry.

Regarding today’s Cabinet session, Morcos said decisions will be based on two reports: one on army deployment and state authority, and another on salary adjustments.

Father Boadak said the summit reflects USJ’s strong connection to the professional world and development sectors in Lebanon.

He highlighted the large student turnout and said the university’s responsibility is to prepare students to enter the job market with confidence and skills.

This year’s theme is “Empowering Every Sector, Supporting Every Career Path,” focusing on digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

More than 100 companies are participating, offering over 200 job and internship opportunities. Students can meet recruiters, attend discussions, and connect with alumni working in leading institutions.
