LEBANON – Today, the Y-IMPACT Project officially launched at the Grand Serail, marking a significant milestone for youth-led governance in Lebanon.
The initiative, titled Youth Involvement in Multi-Level Policy and Community Transformation, brings together a powerful coalition of partners, including OMSAR, the American University of Beirut (AUB) Suliman S. Olayan School of Business (OSB), and UNESCO.
Designed as a nationwide training and dialogue platform, the Y-IMPACT initiative aims to go beyond simple consultation by integrating youth directly into the machinery of local governance and evidence-based policymaking.
The launch event featured a high-level panel discussion, welcoming participants for a morning of dialogue, knowledge exchange, and reflection on the role of youth in advancing policy transformation at both local and national levels.
In addition, the Business Practice and Policy Initiative at OSB is launching the Y-Impact Workshop, a new platform designed to equip young voices with the tools to engage in policy and community transformation. It will provide workshops and trainings.
Centered on youth involvement in multi-level policymaking, the workshop moves ideas from dialogue to action, connecting participants with real policy processes and pathways for impact.
This initiative is organized through a collaboration between the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform (OMSAR) and the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut.
As Lebanon looks toward the future, the Y-IMPACT project stands as a testament to the belief that community transformation begins with the engagement of its youngest citizens.
