The Minister of Industry Joe Issa El Khoury
LEBANON – The Minister of Industry, Joe Issa Al-Khouri, announced that factories in Lebanon no longer have to do regular calibration of their measuring equipment.
Calibration checks the accuracy of tools like scales, weights, and devices that measure temperature or pressure to make sure they give correct results.
While this process helped ensure product quality and safety, it added extra costs and paperwork for companies.
The new decision aims to make work easier for factories so they can focus on production without worrying about these administrative tasks.
The rule is effective immediately, and all industrial companies will be informed.
In short, factories in Lebanon no longer need mandatory calibration, saving time, money, and effort.
