LEBANON – The minister of finance Yassine Jaber announced a decision allowing citizens and business owners to settle their tax fines with a discount, as long as they complete the payment before June 30, 2026.

Tax fines are extra amounts added when someone delays paying taxes, fails to submit tax declarations on time, or makes mistakes in their tax files.

In simple terms: if a person or a company has unpaid taxes with fines, they can now pay these fines at a lower cost before the deadline.

The decision applies to fines linked to tax obligations issued from November 16, 2022, including both direct and indirect taxes.
