LEBANON – The Disaster Risk Management Unit issued an updated report on the humanitarian and field situation in Lebanon, noting an expansion in the displacement map.

Displacement and Shelter Situation

The large-scale displacement continues, according to official statistics:

• Registered displaced persons: 517,000 people, according to the official platform of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

• Collective shelters: 117,228 people (about 27,775 families) are staying in 538 open centers across various governorates.

• Capacity: Some centers can still accommodate more families in the Bekaa, Akkar, North, and Mount Lebanon governorates.

Available Shelters (Capacity)

The unit reported that several centers still have available capacity in different governorates, including:

• Bekaa: Al-Ghad Al-Mushreq School, Kharbet Qanafar Vocational School, Professor Munir Abu Asli High School.

• Akkar: Al-Dawra Public School, Mishha School, Al-Bireh Technical School.

• North: Baal Mohsen Public School, Shka High School, Deir Ammar Institute.

• Mount Lebanon: Al-Hosoun Hussainiya, Safra School, Jbeil Public High School.

Latest Situation Report

The Public Health Emergency Operations Center reported that airstrikes targeting the town of Tyr Debba in the Tyre District, according to preliminary figures, led to:

• Three recorded deaths.

• 15 people injured.

The statement added that ambulance and civil defense teams are still continuing rescue operations and clearing debris at the site.
