BEIRUT — The Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment (EMBL) announced on Sunday that it has issued the 2026 billing schedules and requested all subscribers to settle their water fees for 2026 and previous years.

Payments can be made through authorized collectors, POS machines at distribution offices, or via OMT money transfer centers.

In light of the current economic situation, the authority introduced several relief measures to ease the financial burden on subscribers. These include:

  • Waiving 85% of late fees on subscriptions for 2025 and prior years.

  • Installment plans for overdue payments from previous years are extendable until December 2028.

  • Flexible payment options for new subscriptions by previous customers with outstanding balances, also payable until December 2028.

  • Reduced establishment fees for new connections: 28% for standard water connections and 15% for metered connections.

  • 90% discounts on name change fees and temporary subscription renewals.

  • Monthly installment plan for 2026 fees, with ten payments due between March and December 2026.

The EBML urged subscribers to comply promptly with these instructions and settle any outstanding balances, referencing Article 24 of the organization’s investment regulations (Decree 14597, June 14, 2005).
